Three flying roller coasters known as Superman: Ultimate Flight are now in operation at three Six Flags amusement parks in the United States: Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Six Flags Great America.
After a 50-year-old Chicago man fainted after exiting the roller coaster and eventually died at a hospital, Superman: Ultimate Flight was temporarily shut down at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee on Saturday.
This coaster isn't about the drops or the airtime; it's about feet with a hundred foot drop. As you can see, it's not a very steep drop at all. It's all about giving you a sense of flight.
With a height of 205 feet and a mind-blowing 200-foot drop, SUPERMAN: Ride of Steel comfortably beats out the competition. You'll fly through a startling 5,400 feet of curving red track at an astonishing 73 miles per hour, on a wide-open layout that will genuinely give you a sense of the superhuman.
