Fernbank Woodland is a 65-acre mature mixed forest on the grounds of Atlanta's Fernbank Museum of Natural History. It has some older trees than many of the Piedmont's forests, and as a result, scientists have researched it extensively.

Fernbank Forest is open year-round for self-guided tours and is directly accessible through WildWoods. Please keep in mind that Fernbank Forest is an old-growth forest with some difficult and/or steep terrain. WildWoods, on the other hand, has ADA-accessible walkways to allow all visitors to enjoy nature.
